Instructions: Use your mouse to play this game.
Yahtzy Yam’s is a dice game in the Yahtzee family, known in France as Yams. You roll the dice, keep the ones you like, and try to fill every box of the score sheet with the best result you can. It is found among our board games.
A round fits nicely into a trip or a short break, which is exactly the kind of moment the game has in mind. Clicks and taps both work, and there is nothing to install since it runs in HTML5.
Yams rules in brief
In classic Yams or Yahtzee you roll five dice up to three times per turn, holding any dice you want to keep between rolls. After the last roll you pick one category to score, for instance a full house, three of a kind, a run of consecutive dice, or all five dice showing one number, and write in the points. Every box can be used once. When the card is full, your total decides the result.
Dice strategy
- Collect the upper section numbers early, a bonus there often decides a classic game.
- Keep a box like chance free as a safety net for a bad roll.
- Do not chase five of a kind for too long if a solid full house is already on the table.
