Crescent Solitaire Arkadium is a patience game played with two decks, arranged in a curve that resembles a crescent moon. With twice the usual number of cards on the table, it takes some control to bring order to the layout. It sits in our Solitaire section.
Players who already know Klondike or Spider get a different kind of puzzle here. It is HTML5 and works with the mouse or with a finger on a phone.
Crescent rules
In classic Crescent solitaire the aim is to build up eight foundations, four from Ace up to King and four from King down to Ace, each in a single suit. You move the top cards of the piles in the crescent, building on other piles up or down in the same suit. When you are stuck, the piles can usually be reshuffled a limited number of times.
Crescent tips
- Look for cards that feed the foundations before rearranging the crescent.
- Build in the same suit only, since that is what the foundations need.
- Save reshuffles for when you really have no moves left.
