Boat Battles is the classic Battleship board game made for the browser. You hide your fleet on a grid, then take turns calling shots at the other side and trying to sink every ship before yours are found. Some people know it as Sea Battle. More games like it are waiting in our Board Game category.
Nice animations, music and sound effects give each hit and miss a bit more weight than pencil and paper ever did. A phone is enough to play, and a big monitor works just as well.
Sinking the enemy fleet
Place your ships on your grid. Then pick a square on the opponent's grid to fire at. A hit tells you part of a ship is there, so aim at the squares next to it until that ship sinks. The first side to sink the whole enemy fleet wins the game.
Naval tactics
- Spread your ships out instead of clustering them.
- After a hit, check the squares around it before shooting elsewhere.
- Fire in a checkerboard pattern at the start to cover the grid faster.
